Alabama’s Congressional delegation recently supported resolutions in the United States Senate and House of Representatives highlighting the ÃØÃÜÑо¿Ëù’s 60th anniversary and its service to the State of Alabama, region and nation.

Under the leadership of Senators Katie Britt (R-Ala.) and Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.), the Senate approved a resolution by unanimous consent last week. The House of Representatives, led by Representatives Jerry Carl (R-Mobile) and Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) with support from the Alabama delegation, introduced a similar measure to commemorate the occasion and achievement.

The resolutions recognize USA Health as the region's sole academic health system with operations that include three hospitals, a cancer research center and a network of primary and specialty care clinics.

The University recently finished a yearlong celebration of its 60th anniversary.
