Welcome to the Department of Accounting

James RichWelcome to the Department of Accounting website!

If you are seeking a career that is both personally rewarding and financial rewarding, you have come to the right place. Our undergraduate program in accounting leads to a B.S.B.A. – Accounting degree and opens graduates to a wide range of career opportunities in accounting and business, on the Gulf Coast and far beyond. Our Master of Accounting program is taught fully online and helps graduates meet the 150 hour requirement for the CPA exam while introducing them to new developments in the field of accounting.

Our faculty are dedicated to your success and are readily accessible to our students. Our classes are small enough that you will not feel lost in the crowd. Our CPA exam pass rates regularly exceed state and national averages.

Our team of experienced and well qualified faculty is excited about working with you throughout your academic career. Our purpose is to assist you in reaching your career goals. As such, we are committed to providing you with the highest quality educational experience.

The Department of Accounting is separately accredited by AACSB International – the highest level of business and accounting accreditation. Fewer than 150 American institutions have earned this prestigious accounting accreditation.

The Department of Accounting faculty maintain a close relationship with Gulf Coast industries, government, and accounting firms who provide internship opportunities and full-time jobs to many of our students and alumni. You will also have the opportunity to get involved with extracurricular activities through various student organizations such as and the Accounting Club. You will also be involved in community service projects during your time at the ÃØÃÜÑо¿Ëù such as the IRS Volunteer Tax Program (VITA).

We invite you to explore the world of accounting through our , interactions with professional accountants, and exchanges with faculty and other accounting students.
