There are hundreds of independent scholarship search engines on the Internet, some of them are more reliable and legitimate than others. Students should not have to pay for a scholarship search or to apply for a scholarship, though they may have to 鈥渞egister鈥 with an email address. The state of Alabama encourages all students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov.
